The fierce and defined green color makes the natural stone from the alpine area in Switzerland an exclusive building material for interior and exterior architecture worldwide. The high resistance allows use of Andeer Granit in all areas of natural stone construction. Thanks to its chemical properties, it is particularly suitable for the construction of swimming pools.
A naturally impressive silver-gray glittering color, sometimes with golden-yellow-reddish nuances, brightens up its surroundings. The lively appearance can inspire one to transform any space. The Grisons natural stone, mined on the San Bernardino Pass, is impressive in its versatile use as a building material in interior and exterior areas, as well as in landscaping.

In 1952, Cleto Toscano, a civil engineer from Misox an area of Graubünden bordering the Canton Ticino, founded Toscano AG. Initially engaged in road, bridge, and river construction, the company opened a quarry at the San Bernardino Pass in 1953 to extract stones for road construction. To meet the increasing demand for all types of stones, another quarry was opened in Andeer in 1958, which was complemented with its own natural stone processing plant in 1961. In the late 1970s, Titus Toscano took over the company and gradually developed it into a modern natural stone company. Today, Toscano AG continues its legacy of family ownership and is led by Claudio Toscano. For over 70 years Toscano AG has employed people in its neighboring villages and towns, and currently has over 20 tenured employees involved in quarrying, production, sales, and administration.
